AWANA is broken into the following age groupings: Ages 3-Pre K Cubbies K - 2nd Grade Sparks Grades 3 - 6 T N T (Truth and Training) AWANA meets each Wednesday from 6:30 to 8:00, September through May. Each week, kids are involved in 25 minutes Game Time 25 minutes Handbook Time - Bible Memorization 25 minutes Council Time - Bible Messages, Singing, Bible Stories, One on Ones Throughout the year, we also have theme nights that include special activities for our kids and leaders. We incorporate awards, uniforms, outings, AWANA Games (competitive group competitions), AWANA Bible Quizzes, Children's Music ministery, and the AWANA Store to further develop our program. Our AWANA Commanders are Mike Bulvin and Melinda Helmintoller. For more information on the national AWANA program, please click here. Children's ChurchOn most Sunday mornings, we provide a children’s church environment for kids age 5 through 3rd grade. The children join us during the first part of the service and leave during the offering time to participate in a time that is on their level. Through a variety of activities, study, video-based lessons, crafts, and general fun, we try to communicate the gospel to the children and make it applicable to their lives. Because we believe that families should spend time worshiping together, we cancel children’s church on the 3rd Sunday each month or for any holidays and special presentations that we may be having during the service.
Music MinistryWe believe that music is an important part of our worship. If you play an instrument, sing, or act, we would love for you to get involved with our music ministry. The following opportunities are available: All My Praise - This praise band and praise team lead our worship times each week. Our desire is to give all our praise to Christ, and to lead others to do the same. This group primarily plays music that is contemporary in style. Children's Choir - Our children's choir now takes place within our AWANA ministry on Wednesday nights. Every-other meeting of AWANA, the children will be involved in singing and musical activities during the council time. Kids will have the opportunity to sing about once a month during Sunday morning services. If you are interested in learning more about our music ministry or getting involved, please contact Brian Teague, our Worship Pastor. |
