We endeavor to show the love of Christ to preschoolers and their parents by providing nursery and preschool classes during Sunday School, worship services, and on Wednesday nights during AWANA. In addition, the Jesus Loves Me Preschool operates in our facilities. Please click their logo for more information.
Our ministry with children spans K - 6th grade. Our AWANA program meets on Wednesday nights, providing fun and instruction. (Please click the AWANA logo for more information.) In addition to Sunday School, we provide a Children's Church program for kids in K-3rd grade. Our older kids, those who have completed grades 3-6, participate in Centrikid camp during the summer.
In a culture that in increasingly hostile toward Christians, our moral values, and our worldview, we want to prepare our youth to be able to answer objections and challenges competently but with gentleness and respect. Through Sunday School and Wednesday evening instruction, teens are challenged with truth. Our youth band gives those interesed in playing an instrument or singing an area to serve and develop their talents. Other youth enjoy serving as leaders-in-training in our AWANA program. Through activities and ministry alongside other adults, we hope to engage teens in ways to live out that truth. We believe that providing opportunities for teens to spend time with authentic Christian adults is the best way to mold youth into authentic Christian adults. These pictures are from Centrifuge camp, where our teens go each summer.
With the intent to build godly families, we want to equip adults to lead their homes as well as live lives worthy of the calling we have received from Christ (Eph. 4:1). We offer opportunities for men and women both to be ministered to and to engage in ministry to others.
One of our primary forms of connecting within the body is through a fellowship group. Our groups meet monthly in several geographic areas. We currently have groups in Concord, Harrisburg, Kannapolis, and Mount Pleasant We have communion together with a short devotional by our HFG leaders. We then have a meal together to fellowship and encourage one another. Come live Acts 2:47 with us!
As we point those outside the church to our Savior and strengthen the faith of those who are already part of the faith, we also desire to strengthen and equip families as they develop in their relationship to Christ and engage in serving Him and His people.
